San Miguel Firefighters Local 1434 proudly represents the dedicated men and women who serve the San Miguel Fire Protection District. Committed to safeguarding the lives, property, and environment of our community, we provide high-quality fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue operations, and disaster response with professionalism and integrity. As members of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), we advocate for the safety, welfare, and fair working conditions of our firefighters while fostering strong partnerships with the communities we serve. Through service, solidarity, and public engagement, Local 1434 stands united in our mission to protect and support both our members and our neighbors.
The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is a one-of-a-kind addiction treatment facility specializing in PTSD for IAFF members – and IAFF members only – who are struggling with addiction, PTSD other related behavioral health challenges to receive the help they need in taking the first steps toward recovery. It is a safe haven for members to talk with other members who have faced or overcome similar challenges.
